Aloha friends! It was an honor to speak on the “Canna-business” panel at Kush Day in Los Angeles on October 7th, 2012. It was my very first symposium panel to ever be a speaker on as a hemp entrepreneur and I hope to speak on more panels. I really love sharing my wealth of knowledge on hemp and medical cannabis from a business perspective. I spoke about the medical cannabis & hemp industry being the only growing industry in this economy and my hemp cat litter. Gave my perspective on the medical cannabis industry in this country from my perspective as an administrator for WeedTRACKER.com and spoke about the hemp industry from my ten years of experience working with hemp products specializing in hemp textiles.
Canna-business panel was composed of Tiffany Wright the Member Services Director at Patient Care Alliance LA (www.pca-la.org) on the left, Degé in the middle, Myself – Alexandra Sussin/Tropical420 with HempCatLitter.com, and Robert F. Calkin from CannabisCareerInstitute.co
We spoke about the great teamwork it took in our community to overturn the medical cannabis dispensary ban in Los Angeles by gathering 50,000 signatures that got the LA city council to rescind their ban. WeedTRACKER helped stop Los Angeles dispensary ban by keeping everyone informed on petition location sites. This issue will now be decided on the May 2013 ballot where Los Angeles residents will see three different cannabis initiatives.
Tiffany Wright – the Member Services Director at www.pca-la.org – speaks about how her organization will make sure everyone can stay open regardless of being pre-ICO or not.

Here are some excerpts from my speech on the panel:
“Some of you may know me as Tropical420 from WeedTRACKER where I have been for the past three years but for the past 10 years I have been in the hemp industry, my first job in 2003 was at Hemp Traders. The hemp & cannabis industry is the only growing industry in this economy right now…”
“Councilman Rosendahl gave an amazing speech that helped keep safe access alive in Los Angeles and got the council to rescind that shit. There are so many more hemp products that have yet to be discovered since our country has made the plant taboo, it is pretty much an untapped resource in this country right now, many new jobs could be created with the power of hemp…”
[singlepic id=316 w=320 h=240 mode=watermark float=left]“A Hemp parachute saved George Bush Seniors life in WWII and we should be able to grow it here in America instead of letting China make all the hemp profits…”
“Hemp cat litter is soft on paws, dust free, and biodegradable. Free hemp cat litter for anyone who owns a cat today (gave a bag away after speech). It even doubles as a grow medium with traces of Nitrogen, Phosphorus, and Potassium (N,P,K) naturally in it from the hemp…”
“Hemp is the strongest natural fiber on the planet. Endless businesses are possible with hemp textiles and apparel alone. Put any company logo on a hemp shirt. Hemp silk can create beautiful wedding dresses. Hemp fleece can create absorbent, washable, reusable baby diapers. The possibilities are endless!” -Alexandra Sussin/ Tropical420

Shared a joint in strawberry rolling paper with Tiffany Wright after our Canna-Business panel together and she showed me pictures of her cat that would love my hemp cat litter!

Took the last pic of the beautiful Ukrainian Culture Center where Kush Day was held, booths were on both sides of the room, the audience was great with bright questions for panelists and everyone seemed to enjoy themselves! The panelists speaking in this pic are from SC Labs – they work with weedmaps – weedtrackers biggest competitor – but they were appreciative to meet us as representatives from Weedtracker and respectful about how much Tracker has done for the community to help pave the way.
What a great Canna-Business panel and cannabis event! I was an honor to be part of this panel of experts and to speak on behalf of the entire hemp industry as a hemp entrepreneur. I appreciate The Patient Advocacy Network (http://cannabissaveslives.com/) and Degé Coutee for including me in this fun event!
